Hemlock Alum Return Home

2007 Hemlock High School graduates Derek and Sarah (Pankow) Hirschman left Hemlock to pursue their dreams as many students do. Derek completed his undergraduate studies at Central Michigan University. He went on to earn his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University and completed his dermatology residency at Beaumont in Farmington Hills.  Sarah completed her undergraduate degree at Grand Valley State University.  She went on to receive her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree at Grand Valley University. The couple have returned “home” and have opened their new dermatology practice in Saginaw.

“Derek and Sarah are excited to be back home. They are thrilled to provide dermatological care to the community that gave so much to them,” shared HS teacher Dana Lockwood.

Together, the couple have a daughter, Henley, and in their free time, they are happy to be in a community they love with their family and friends. Derek’s mom, and retired Hemlock kindergarten teacher Kelly Hirschman, has taken on a new role enjoying grandma-duty with Henley.

Their practice H2 Dermatology provides comprehensive treatment for a broad range of skin problems, both acute and chronic conditions. For more information, you may visit their website at https://www.h2dermatology.com/

Hemlock Public School District is proud of the accomplishments of these Huskie Alumni.
