NEW INFORMATION -

Reindeer Grams- will be on sale starting today.  Order forms will be in your first hour classes as well as in the office.  Please make sure you have the exact change for your order, then place your order in the box located in the office.  Deadline for ordering is December 13th.

Christmas Band Concert- is December 20th, 7:00 at the High School gymnasium.

Christmas Dance- Our Christmas Dance will be on Thursday, December 14th from 2:45-4:30. Students need to make sure they do not have any overdue library books and are grade and discipline eligible to attend the dance.  Wristbands will be sold during 7th hour on the 14th. The cost of the dance will be $3.00 if you’re dressed in holiday or Christmas theme, or $4.00 if you’re not.  

Toy Drive- Please help the Hemlock Middle School Leadership Group to collect toys for families in the Hemlock community.  The toy drive will be Nov. 20th - Dec. 14th.  The donation box is located in front of the library.

Thomas Township Christmas Train & Light Festival- Bundle up for wintery wonderland of Holiday lights aboard the Roethke Express. Dec. 8th & 9th.

SPORTS/CLUBS-

7th and 8th Robotics- Final meeting is today 3:00-4:00

Student Council- There will be a meeting Wednesday morning at 7:40 in Ms. Ludlum’s room.  Students need to have signed up chaperones and brought in items for the dance before Wednesday.

Spelling Bee Club- Spelling Bee members please plan on arriving at the Knights of Columbus hall in Merrill at 6:30 on December 7th (Thursday).  Please wear something nice to the competition.  Good Luck!!
7th Grade Girls Basketball- It was a tough loss against Freeland last night.  Our strong eight girls put up a great fight for a close comeback in the second half of the game even though we fell a few points short.  The girls gave it their all.  Regan Finkbeiner had 23 points, Ella Wardlow and Breanna Turner each had 4 points, Chloe Watson added 3 and Averi Hall contributed 2 points for a close game of 41-36.  Hold your heads high girls.  Champions may lose but Champions never give up!

8th Grade Girls Basketball- the girls dropped a 41-16 decision to the Falcons last night.  The Huskies didn’t go without a fight though.  The girls jumped out to a 6-3 lead after the first quarter, only to see Freeland respond with 21-4 run in the 2nd quarter.  Sami Seidel, Bethany Beck, Alex Grzenia, Kari Mills and Reagan Keyser all scored for the Huskies.  There is NO practice for the 8th grade girls Tuesday.  Practice will resume Wed-Thur-and Friday normal time.

  

    

                             

IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES-

7th and 8th grade boys basketball- sign-up sheets are in the office.  Please stop by before or after school, or during your lunch to sign up.  Mrs. Galbraith will be here Dec. 20th and Jan.3rd during lunch to hand out “try-out” tickets if your physical has been turned in. Open gyms (7th & 8th grade) Dec. 4,  8-9p.m., Dec. 15,  7:30-9p.m., Dec. 20,  8-9p.m., Dec. 28,  7:30-9p.m..  Practices will begin Jan.3,  8th grade 4:30-6 p.m.,  7th grade 3-4:30 p.m..****open gyms will include 7th grade*****

GENERAL INFORMATION

Washington DC Raffle- Help support our 8th grade students by purchasing a  raffle ticket for $10.00.  Tickets can be purchased in the Middle School office or at the board office.

Hemlock Basketball Apparel- Help support Hemlock High School Boys’ Basketball program by purchasing Huskie basketball apparel.

Yearbooks-  Order forms are located in the office. You can order your yearbook by filling out an order form and dropping it off in the office,  or they can be ordered on-line.
