Keeping Learning Alive-District Reaching out to Community

Recently, Hemlock Public School District dropped backpacks and school supplies off to various households to spread the message “Keep Learning Alive.” Some of these households are now home to grandchildren as grandparents are now providing childcare to many parents that are “essential” in the workforce.

Communications Director Kelly Phillion shared, “This was a feel-good moment in this uncertain time to give back to our community and bring some joy to some children’s faces. The appreciation from a few grandparents was overwhelming.”

Hemlock’s Food Service Department is continuing to provide free meals for children throughout our community on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with drive-up pick-up from 10:00 am -12:00 pm at Hemlock Middle School. (Door #29) They are also able to arrange deliveries upon request by calling 989-642-4700.

If you should have questions or concerns, please reach out to our building principals so that we can know how to meet your needs best.
