Hemlock Middle School Welcomes New Teachers

Hemlock, MI – We are happy to welcome Mrs. Annie Hough to Hemlock Public School District.  Mrs. Hough is teaching middle school 6th and 7th-grade language arts classes.

“As a student of life, mother of 3, coffee and book enthusiast, and an avid runner, I believe in the journey as much as the destination. I am very excited about each one of my classes, and I know it is going to be a great year! Each student will be encouraged to think boldly and independently, to recognize their unique potential, and to pursue excellence both in and out of the class,” shared Mrs. Hough.

In addition, the middle school welcomes Mrs. Lisa Slominski to our team.  Mrs. Slominski attended Saginaw Valley State University, as part of the ACR program.  Lisa served as a young-fives classroom teacher during the 2018 - 2019 school year.  Before joining Hemlock Public School District as an educator, Lisa worked for Mid-Michigan Hospital in the Cardiology department.  She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from Ferris State University, along with an Elementary Education Certification and Math endorsement.

Mrs. Slominski said, “I feel so blessed to join the Hemlock educator team.  My three children all graduated from Hemlock and I am a proud Huskie parent.  I enjoy having the students think outside the box and taking ownership of their education.”
