students

While we strive to help our students become successful socially in our elementary schools, helping our students grow their academic skills is our primary purpose. We challenge our students at their instructional level and help them model learning amongst their peers.

We do this through the use of guided instruction, accelerated curricular resources, after school programs, and literature circles and book clubs in the upper elementary grades. The blend of these encourage our students to reach their fullest potential.

When asked about the effectiveness of book clubs in her classroom, 3rd grade teacher Tammy Grandy responded, "Our book clubs foster a love of reading, and with the wide variety of literature available, our students improve their skills by interacting, collaborating, and cooperating with one another responsibly."

This is just one glimpse into how we are creating well-rounded, successful students right at the start of their educational journey.
